QSC brings amps into Q-Sys platform

13 June 2017

QSC has introduced the CXD-Q and CXD-Qn eight-channel network processing amplifiers for integration with its Q-Sys platform.

The amplifiers can be configured and managed like all other elements of a Q-Sys system. The CXD-Q Series also features the QSC-exclusive Flexible Amplifier Summing Technology (FAST), which enables the ability to combine up to four channels for higher output power.

QSC says the models are capable of providing up to 8,000 W peak and 5,000 W continuous with low-Z, 70V or 100V direct drive available on all channels. The ā€œQā€ models offer eight channels mic/line input directly on the back of the amplifiers acting as a Q-Sys on-ramp for additional amplification. By contrast, the analogue inputs have been removed on the ā€œQnā€ models.

Both models include eight bi-directional GPIO connections that can be used for analogue or digital inputs or outputs to/from the Q-Sys Platform. CXD-Q Series models can be housed in a 2U rack-mount configuration.

The CXD-Q and CXD-Qn Series network processing amplifiers will be on display at the QSC stand 5645 and the QSC demo room W224A at InfoComm 2017 in Orlando, USA. InfoComm 2017 will be held June 14 to 16.
