Smart wearables: Personal property in AV

Moore’s law is an observation that states that the number of transistors in a dense integrated circuit doubles approximately every two years. We’ve seen the law in action over the decades as personal computers continue shrinking in sizes and smart devices continue to increase in processing and computing power. The next step in this progression is touted to be smart wearables, computing devices that can be worn on the user’s body.
A report by Gartner predicts the overall smart wearable market, including smart watches, smart glasses and health & fitness trackers, to grow to US$ 28.7 billion by the end 2016. In addition, smart wearables are already available on the consumer market and making an impact. Smart watches from Apple and Samsung among others are being adopted by users.
