Crestron sets up R&D centre in India
Crestron has established a wholly owned subsidiary in India. The centre hosts hree dedicated labs for digital media, a dedicated lab for audio device testing, commercial & residential lighting and has an employee strength of 150. The move comes as Crestron sees potential in the unified communications and automation sector.
Stuart Craig, APAC CEO, Crestron, said: "The boost in IT/ITeS, the manufacturing sector and even globalisation has been a game-changer for the industry. There is a sudden increase in demand for state-of-the-art audio-video conferencing facilities across different sectors in the country."
He continued: "Crestron India has over 200 employees and we are looking to hire around 250 employees in the next couple of years. Globally we have over 3000 people across 32 countries.”
