Visco Joint Stock was tasked with providing the AV systems for the Le Meridien Saigon hotel. Hurrairah bin Sohail explores the nuances and details of the installation.
Located in Ho Chi Minh City, close to the Saigon River, the recently constructed Le Meridien Saigon hotel is part of the Starwood chain of hotels and resorts. It has a 345 guest rooms for patrons along with a host of other facilities. When the hotel required AV systems, Visco Joint Stock was tasked with handling the project. The installation work commenced in March 2014 and was completed in December 2014 with a budget of US$725,000. Project management was handled by Artelia Vietnam while the AV consultant for the project was Shen Milsom & Wilke.
David Chua, general manager for Visco Joint Stock, recounts the brief the integrator received: “The end-user expected a professional audio visual system that would be easy to use. The scope of the project was to supply and install background music and AV systems for all the areas of the Le Meridien Saigon hotel.â€
Besides the general hotel and lobby areas it comprises of the Latitude bar, Latest Recipe Restaurant, Bamboo Chic Restaurant, Le Royal club, pre-function areas, ballroom, meeting rooms, conference room, gym, yoga studio, spa and swimming pool deck. Visco Joint Stock was responsible for providing AV systems for all the aforementioned spaces.
