Dasan SR details how it provided audio solutions to Club Meca in Korea so that the venue could cater to a diverse clientele of party-goers.
Located in Seoul, Korea, Club Meca is a staple venue of the city’s nightlife scene. Recently, Dasan SR was chosen to deploy an audio system for the venue that would set it apart from the competition.
Club Meca is divided into two portions each housed on a separate floor. The ground level serves as the main dance floor while the first level provides more intimate seating areas for patrons.
In addition, both levels play differing kinds of music to cater to different demographics.
On the ground floor four EAW Avalon Club. Two speakers, two on the left and two on the right, are suspended from customised rigging and flank the main stage. Each Avalon Club. Two unit features four 12-in low frequency cones, one 1.4 in middle frequency driver and a 1.4-in high frequency diver. Supporting the Club. Two speakers are four EAW Avalon Sub.Two subwoofers place on the ground two to a side.
The Avalon speaker system is powered by Powersoft amplifiers. More specifically, four K3 units serve as the main lower frequency amplifiers while two K2 units function as middle and high frequency amplifiers. Signal processing is handled by an X8 8-chanel DSP. Audio levels can be managed from a Berhinger X-32 compact mixer while audio input is received from a Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus console. Two Sennheiser EW135G3 wireless microphones and three Shure SM58K-LC wired microphones are also supplied.
