Wipro Experience Centre: Tech to impress

Technology steals the show at Wipro’s new experience centre in this Inavation Award winning project. Reece Webb reports.

Wipro is one of India’s leading IT services companies, and its new flagship experience centre offers a preview of the technology shaping the future. Known as the Wipro Innovation Network, this new facility brings agentic AI, robotics, and quantum computing to the forefront.

The experience centre, located at Wipro’s Kodathi campus in Bengaluru, functions as a key hub for the company’s clients, showcasing the very best that technology has to offer. Putting technology at the centre of the visitor journey, Wipro required a next-generation AV environment that reflects the company’s commitment to cutting-edge technology while also bringing an engaging and memorable experience to the fore
for its visitors. This new facility went on to win the Experience Centre category at the 2026 Inavation Awards in Barcelona.

Wipro turned to Metahive Design Consulting to fulfil this vision of the future. To achieve this, Metahive worked closely with Wipro’s internal stakeholders to ensure an alignment between the spatial design and the company’s strategic messaging.

Raguvaran, founder and principle consultant at Metahive Design Consulting, says: “Our AV solution was designed to support a narrative-driven journey, where customers and partners could explore Wipro’s innovations through a blend of interactive displays, immersive projection systems, touch-enabled storytelling interfaces, and sensor-based environments.

“Every element from highresolution videowalls and directional audio zones to integrated control systems and content automation were meticulously curated to ensure intuitive operation and a wowfactor user experience. The result is a future-ready space that not only reinforces Wipro’s brand identity as a global technology leader but also enhances the effectiveness of their customer engagements and business storytelling.”

The aim was to create a dynamic and immersive environment for Wipro that demonstrates its diverse capabilities across multiple industry sectors by engaging visitors, clients, partners, and stakeholders through interactive storytelling and technology. The client spared no expense in this task, allocating five million USD to the AV component alone.

Metahive took responsibility as AV design consultant, developing a detailed AV experience blueprint which included system design, equipment specifications, and budgeting guidance to align technical excellence
with commercial viability. The consultant worked closely with Wipro’s content development team to define media formats, video resolutions, aspect ratios, audio specs, and colour bit depth to deliver optimal content playback across the facility’s AV platforms.

This attention to detail extended to evaluating and shortlisting AV vendors through a detailed technical assessment process. For this project, BT Convergence Technologies was brought on as integrator. Metahive worked together with BT to provide implementation oversight by reviewing drawings, inspecting on-site progress, andensuring adherence to the design intent and quality standards. The consultant also took the
lead on system testing and commissioning, documenting all performance checks and preparing formal sign-off reports to hand over the project to Wipro’s exact specifications.

Raguvaran explains: “Wipro specialises in software, but they wanted our help to showcase their capabilities by integrating various audiovisual technologies so that clients will be impressed by Wipro’s vision. We brought in the latest real-time rendering tools, including Unity and Unreal, allowing Wipro to create dynamic, interactive content. This allows clients to interact with the content to get a greater understanding of what Wipro offers them. We used Disguise, Analog Way, and Christie to translate Wipro’s ideas and processes into an audiovisual medium across every zone of the facility. They wanted to try out the latest technology as well as non-conventional ways of showcasing their products and technologies to clients.”

Wipro’s 12-storey building is home to seven floors which have been entirely converted into the experience centre. The space stretches across nearly 4,000 sq m with various demo zones spaced out across the facility. The zones include a reception area, interactive and immersive spaces as well as industry specific demo zones focussed on areas such as banking, retail, and healthcare. Wipro also required a forum area for product launches and gatherings, as well as a town hall space.

Welcome to Wipro

Starting at the reception, Metahive was tasked with delivering meaningful impact from the moment visitors walk in. “It is not enough to have a screen with a welcome message,” says Raguvaran. “Wipro wanted to showcase the space in such a way that every customer experiences the ‘wow’ factor from the moment they walk in.”

Metahive delivered a curved, convex screen from Christie, dominating the space with custom content that immerses visitors into the world of Wipro. Raguvaran continues: “As soon as clients enter from the lift lobby, this is the first thing they will see. We also brought in some additional features like anamorphic content in addition to the corporate videos and welcome screens. We provided a media server that allows the team to create dynamic welcome messages with minimal training. The hardware and software tools enable them to input the relevant information from a laptop and send it directly to the screen. As we had a wider format screen, we brought in false perspective 3D content, which is played back by Analog Way media servers. This content has been created with a UV mesh so that it creates the illusion of a 3D effect without wearing glasses. We also gave them the simple tools to drag, drop, and create content within minutes, push it to the media server, and deliver it on the screen.”

Wipro also wanted an additional large-format display in the reception area, showcasing the journey of the company, and highlighting key players in the business in an unconventional way. Metahive used the same
LED tiles as those installed in reception, but arranged them in a layered configuration. The result is three layers of LED, with a patterned collage of displays used to highlight different content in a bite-size format. This setup also uses an Analog Way media server that allows the client to play content like a playlist in a simple and accessible manner.

Behind reception is the interactive zone, a space for clients to understand Wipro’s business and the verticals it operates in. Metahive supplied an 8K screen with a resolution of 6080 x 1600 pixels, measuring 9.5m x 2.5m, which serves as the backdrop for introductory presentations.

This entire floor and its demo zones are serviced by an interconnected video distribution system, allowing uncompressed 8K video files to be displayed without noticeable latency or a compromise on image quality. Raguvaran continues: “The displays run uncompressed video files from a media server, ensuring everything is lossless and high resolution. All video feeds are transmitted from the centralised video system via a Lightware 20Gb AVoIP platform. We combined two 20Gb encoders to transmit uncompressed 8K videos from the media server to all the screens. It was a challenge to send 8K video over IP in an uncompressed format, but the client didn’t want to have any compromise on the visual quality.”

Videoconferencing is enabled in this space using Poly E70 quad cameras, allowing senior leaders to participate remotely from anywhere in the world. To take the videoconferencing experience to the next level, a Proto Luma ‘hologram’ unit allows remote senior leaders to appear before in-room clients in a life-size format, reinforcing Wipro’s commitment to bringing a future-first concept to the space.

Harman Intellivox DS180 beamforming speakers were also used throughout the demo spaces to prevent spillover of audio from different zones. Walking into the immersive zone, visitors experience Wipro’s commitment to quantum computing. Raguvaran explains: “This space is equipped with augmented reality and VR technology.

There are a lot of industry specific demos they do with VR.” A concave, 8K LED screen is used in this space, combined with Disguise real-time rendering media servers due to the heavy focus on interactive content. “The users wear VR headsets, and we bring in the real-time rendering content. As they navigate through the VR world, this content is mirrored on to the immersive scene so that the viewers in the front can experience what the host is demonstrating. Whatever they interact with in real-time is being pushed from the Disguise media server.

“We used a Disguise VX4 + and a specialised render node. Everything is connected to the Disguise server via a 100Gb fibre switch, using a Lightware 20Gb AVoIP matrix connected to the centralised network. From there, signals are distributed to the LED controllers and displays.”

Projecting success

Wipro’s campus features a town hall for awards ceremonies and small gatherings. The entire floor space is projection-mapped using two Christie 25,000-lumen projectors, covering a 20m-wide surface and supported by LiDAR sensors to create an interactive space. This setup is supported by a 6m-tall transparent LED screen that dominates the space. “The screen is divided into two parts using a videowall processor,”
says Raguvaran. “This space is also equipped with Nexo loudspeakers and Lumens cameras for videoconferencing, with presentations shown on the transparent LED screen. We tried to make this into an interactive,
gamified space. Wipro wanted to showcase a galaxy theme, and every time you step on a planet, the display will showcase Wipro’s core values. We used Pandoras Box and installed the projectors atdouble-ceiling height, to project onto the floor.”

The Forum Zone is designed as a space for Wipro to host press meets and product launches. The zone is home to an LED videowall, Nexo audio system, and Lumens auto-tracking cameras to cater for smaller events without operators.

Raguvaran continues: “The AI-enabled cameras will automatically track the presenter. We also used Sennheiser ceiling microphones so that participants do not need to pass around a wireless microphone. As everything is centrally distributed, Wipro’s control room can receiveall camera and presentation feeds for live streaming.”

Metahive designed dedicated demo zones for different verticals that Wipro operates in. Each space is unique and designed to be flexible and modular to account for changing needs. Currently, Wipro has a selection
of zones including healthcare, banking, cybersecurity, retail and CPG, and IoT automations. Each space contains either a Sony 65-in display or Avocor 105-in display supplemented by Audac Kyra 12 column speakers and SCP 230 amplifiers.

Raguvaran clarifies: “None of these demo zones are fixed for specific industries, we made the setup agile and centralised. Any zone can be converted to a different themed demo zone. The user simply moves the industry props, while content displayed in the zone is centrally pushed from the media servers. The four media zones can be changed on the fly, with their content updated at the press of one button.”

Metahive delivered Sennheiser ceiling microphones to capture audio during demos, using AI-enabled software to transcribe each conversation in the demo room. “The conversations are transcribed and automatically converted into Word files, which are then provided to the relevant teams for follow-up. These transcripts allow the staff to review their discussions so that nothing is missed."

A portable studio kit was supplied, allowing any space in the facility to be converted into a small-scale broadcast environment, while smaller, more intimate spaces can quickly become podcast studios. Vizrt’s Tricaster video production mixer is used in combination with an additional Proto unit and Panasonic broadcast camera for impressive broadcasting capabilities. “In five minutes, they can convert any space into a studio. This was a request that we received, and we achieved it,” says Raguvaran.

After an extensive design process, the system was commissioned over a three-month period overseen by Metahive, delivering an AV system that enhances Wipro’s offering through memorable, technology-led
experiences. Raguvaran closes: “Bringing in real-time rendering and dynamic content for all of Wipro’s products and services was a key point of pride. We are the first to try this in a corporate space and we were successful. Integrating the interactions into the content is what made this experience work. We took an experimental approach, and it paid off.

“Wipro appreciated our work and a few upgrades are already underway. We are working on a new virtual reality space and projection mapping system with dynamic tracking that will create an amazing showcase.”
