Theme parks: Fun and games Features 07/06/2017 With a number of theme parks being established in China and more to follow Hurrairah bin Sohail investigates how this portion of the leisure and entertainment sector is faring in the country and across the region.The entertainment sector, more speci?cally theme parks, in Asia Paci?c is growing and is expected to continue doing so in the years to come. Almost unanimously, everyone agrees that the demand for theme parks in the region is being led by China. Manfred Meier, founder and CEO of Kraftwerk Living Technologies, says: “I believe that the need for entertainment is still present in China - which of course also has to do with the astounding population size of China. Moreover, the Chinese system seems to strengthen and grow the middle class, which creates an exorbitant demand."
