Christie is partnering with China Film Equipment to support the China Film Sparkle program for a second consecutive year, providing projection technology for film screenings held in conjunction with the 21st China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF).
Aimed at inspiring tertiary students to pursue careers in cinema and filmmaking, the China Film Sparkle program’s latest screenings are taking place at Dongguan University of Technology—an established public college in Guangdong province—from May 22 to 26, 2025. These sessions are powered by the Christie Christie CineLife+ CP2411-RBe projector with Phazer illumination and the CineLife+ IMB-S4 media server. More than a thousand students from colleges and universities across southern China are expected to attend the screenings.
said James Li, executive director, China Cinema, Christie, said: “We are excited to support the China Film Sparkle program for the second year running, which continues to play a vital role in developing China’s cinema industry. This collaboration reflects our commitment to nurturing the next generation of filmmakers while demonstrating the capabilities of our latest cinema projection solutions. It also aligns with our Christie Ignite program, which is dedicated to cultivating future leaders in pro AV and cinema.”
Launched in 2023, the Christie Ignite program partners with educational institutions, industry bodies, and associations to deliver initiatives such as workshops, competitions, and the popular CineSparks Webinars. It continues to support programs that provide knowledge, experience, and industry connections to help students and emerging professionals build successful careers.
