Indian institutes of higher learning selecting Christie displays

Tertiary institutions in India have deployed Christie LED. These include the Indian Institutes of Technology Indore in Madhya Pradesh, the Indian Institutes of Management Nagpur in Maharashtra, the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad in Gujarat, and Nalanda University in Bihar.

Altogether, these tertiary institutions have installed a significant number of Christie laser projection systems comprising the HS series, GS series, Captiva series, and APS series laser projectors in various venues such as lecture halls and classrooms. In addition, IIT Indore set up four large-sized videowalls on its campus that are made up of 144 Christie Core Series LED tiles with a pixel pitch of 1.8mm.

Rishubh Nayar, sales director for India, Enterprise, Christie, said: “As educational institutions align themselves to achieve India’s vision to become a world leader in science and technology that in turn ushers in greater economic growth, there has been a strong demand for display technologies to transform the learning environment. Thanks to our strong track record in delivering high-performance, versatile and flexible display systems, we have seen an uptick in the deployment of our laser projection and LED solutions by tertiary institutions over the last 12 months.”

Nayar noted that the IITs and IIMs have a good understanding of how display technologies can complement learning by simplifying the user experience and enhancing engagement with students. He said: “That’s why laser projection and direct-view LED technologies are the preferred choice due to their excellent image quality and color reproduction, ease of use, installation flexibility, low maintenance, and affordability. They are perfect for high-usage environments such as education.”
