In order to grow the industry in the country, Indonesia will be holding a series of industry events comprising of Indonesia ICT Summit, Communic Indonesia and Broadcast Indonesia 2016. These inaugural events will be held from August 31 to September 3, 2016 at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran.
Officially sanctioned as the national communications and information forum, in conjunction with Indonesia Postal Day 2016, the Indonesia ICT Summit 2016 will be hosted by Masyarakat Telematika Indonesia (MASTEL) and is expected to attract over a 1,000 delegates from across Indonesia.
Ir Kristiono, chairman of Masyarakat Telematika Indonesia (MASTEL), said: “Digital convergence has become prevalent and notable, as with issues, opportunities and challenges relating to e-commence, cyber security, broadband connectivity, smart nation, technology convergence, big data, internet of things and digital broadcasting. These are focal areas that will form the backbone of discussions at the Indonesia ICT Summit.â€
Featured alongside the Indonesia ICT Summit, are Communic Indonesia 2016, the international exhibition on communications and information technology and Broadcast Indonesia 2016, the international digital multimedia and entertainment technology exhibition. The two exhibitions will aim to bring together top tech innovators, and global ICT and broadcasting brands represented by over 450 exhibitors from more than 40 countries/ regions. International group pavilions expected at the exhibitions include Brunei, China, Germany, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom and United States of America.
