K-array’s audio solutions are gaining traction in China. From shopping malls and restaurants to schools and corporate settings, products from the Italian manufacturer are being deployed to enhance applications.
At Yintai in77 shopping mall, K-arrays Kayman KY102 loudspeakers were chosen by integrator HKBN JOS (Shanghai) Company Limited. The KY102’s beam steering technology provided audio accuracy in a challenging open-air public space. A skybridge between mall buildings covered with LED advertising screens on three sides now utilises K-array audio, whilst minimising noise pollution to nearby apartments. The sleek form factor of the loudspeakers also ensures minimal disruption to the building’s appearance.
A member of the integration team explained: “With a maximum output sound pressure level of up to 138dB and electronic beam control (EBS), the KY102 provides unprecedented coverage, accuracy and powerful performance. At the same time, its IP64 protection rating meets the requirements of long-term fixed outdoor installations.”
Huawei selected Tornado KT2C ceiling loudspeakers for its flagship stores across China.
Jason Zhao, general manager at K-array China, described the benefits of this solution: “These loudspeakers blend effortlessly into the spatial design, delivering enveloping soundscapes whilst being perfectly integrated with the ceiling fixtures.”
High-quality background music is also essential in high-end restaurants such as Song in Guangzhou. Vyper-KV52 II passive loudspeakers remain unobtrusive, whilst ensuring rich sound clarity and focused audio coverage, to ensure patrons’ conversations are not overwhelmed. Additionally, Lyzard-KZ14 I loudspeakers are employed in each private dining room, maintaining minimal visual impact thanks to their tiny form factor.
K-array’s solutions can deliver in education settings as well as evidenced with the renovation of Pingtan Primary School’s auditorium. Python-KP102 I loudspeakers, measuring 1m long and just under 8cm wide, were rigged discreetly to the walls, eliminating the need for a costly suspended installation. Their compact design also helped to maximise space whilst complementing the auditorium’s architecture.
Zhao confirmed: “With their high-power output and wide dynamic range, these loudspeakers can cater to a diverse range of activities.”
The school can host academic conferences, daily assemblies and elaborate performances with confidence, knowing attendees will enjoy crystal-clear audio, whether music or spoken word.
Finally, corporate settings in China are also benefiting from K-array’s solutions. Fujian steel manufacturing company, Sanbao Group, utilised various loudspeakers from across the K-array portfolio in their conference and reception rooms. Wall-mounted brackets made it simple to integrate the loudspeakers into the workspace, whilst providing clear sound and speech reinforcement for important meetings.
Zhao concluded: “It is clear that K-array’s audio solutions are a preferred choice for integrators across China. The superior quality, scalability, and ease of use of the K-array product ecosystem meet the complex needs of both integrators and end users alike.”
