Mahajak deliver audio system for Thai water park

Located in Hua Hin, Thailand, Vana Nava is one of the country’s largest water parks covering an area of approximately 32,000 square metres. Mahajak Development was entrusted by Proud Real Estate to install an audio system that would meet the venue’s needs and requirements.

Roengrith Jantarima, the project manager , said: “The customer’s requirement was to create a sound system for background music and public announcement with a single control room, so we used Harman’s JBL loudspeakers along with Crown amplifiers and BSS Audio Processor as the main audio components. And we have taken great care in choosing the most appropriate products for each application.”

JBL Control25AV, Control29AV, Control24CT micro, AM7215/64 and ASB7118 speakers have been used around the water park to provide audio. Processing duties are handled by the BSS Audio Soundweb London BLU-80 while amplification is provided by Crown CDi1000, CDi4000, XTi4200 and I Tech 9000i units. Distribution of audio signal is achieved via CobraNet. A portable DJ booth consisting of Denon DN-SC2900, digital controller and media player, DN-X1600 DJ mixer routed to the input of the analogue Soundcraft FX16ii audio mixer is also provided.

Jantarima said: “As the project has many loudspeakers, the constant-voltage speaker systems was chosen due to the fact the it offers the option to extend the number of outputs and to minimize power loss over the speaker cables.” Vana Nava has been up and functional for a while. Mahajak has been retained to provide technical support and maintenance.
