Meyer Sound has launched an expanded education program, focused on global trainings, strategic partnerships, and initiatives that promote diversity, access, and inclusion in the field.
This announcement coincides with the celebration of the brand’s 45th anniversary.
The 2024 program builds on the success of the company’s revamped 2023 initiatives, which engaged more than 1,800 students through 50 in-person trainings around the world and through coursework in the new Meyer Sound Learning online platform.
With both in-person education across the United States and international events, the program continues to expand its offerings, including supplemental online training materials, on-demand e-learning content, and virtual instructor-led sessions.
Meyer Sound will also be launching a scholarship program for women and gender-expansive people in the live sound industry.
Robyn Bykofsky, Meyer Sound’s training and education manager, commented: "As the pace of audio technology accelerates, Meyer Sound is strengthening its commitment to education programs, which we see as investing in the future of the industry. Our training programs are aimed at all experience levels, with science-backed in-person and virtual course content that fits the way people learn today.”
Bykofsky concluded: “Not only do we offer industry-leading learning resources, we strive to foster equitable access to those resources.”
