RCF wins trademark victory in China

RCF has obtained a favourable final judgement from the courts of China, stopping the unauthorised use of the “RCF” trademark by Ningbo S&A Electronics Co.

The court upheld an earlier judgement that found that Ningbo S&A Electronics’ use of the “RCF” and “rcf” marks in online promotions infringed RCF’s registered trademark rights.

The court ordered the company to cease all unauthorised use and compensate RCF for economic losses and legal expenses.

The judgement is seen as important step in RCF’s global brand protection program, safeguarding the manufacturer’s intellectual property, reputation, customers, and authorised sales network.

To ensure that customers are buying genuine RCF products, the manufacturer recommends that buyers purchase systems only through verified channels. Buyers can check dealer authorisation status on the official RCF website or contact RCF support to confirm distributor or dealer authenticity. Genuine RCF products feature an RCF security hologram and a unique serial number that can be verified through the MY RCF section of the official RCF website.

Gioia Molinari, director of marketing and PR, RCF, commented: “For RCF, trademark protection is not only a legal matter. It is a direct commitment to the people who choose our products and rely on the authenticity associated with our name.

“This judgment confirms that the exploitation of our brand will not be tolerated. We will continue to take decisive action worldwide to protect our assets, our partners, and the integrity of the professional audio market.”

The RCF Security Hologram has been designed to help customers ascertain that the product they have purchased is an authentic RCF product.
