QSC adds Q-SYS capabilities to network video endpoint

QSC has added Q-SYS processing capabilities to its HV-32-H network video endpoint, allowing users to toggle between ‘core mode’, which transforms the device into a Q-SYS processor with local HDMI switching capabilities and its existing ‘peripheral mode’, designed for network HDMI video distribution over a standard AV network.

The ‘core mode’ provides an audio processing engine for the Q-SYS Ecosystem, with 32x32 network audio channels, eight AEC channels, one VoIP softphone instance and optional support for software-based Dante.

A software-based control engine is included for control integration for native Q-SYS devices as well as third-party connected devices.

An integrated 3x2 video switch is included for locally connected HDMI sources, with the HV-32-H’s peripheral mode toggling the device into a multi-stream network video endpoint for HDMI video encoding/decoding for video distribution with the Q-SYS ecosystem.

Integration for Microsoft Teams Rooms is included, with Zoom and Google Hangouts Meet, with the device acting as an access point for USB delivery of Q-SYS audio and conference room cameras.
