Samsung displays used for new DOOH EV charging kiosk

Samsung, Palmer Digital Group and IoTecha Corp have created a new EV charging kiosk, designed to monetise the charging experience.

The charging kiosk combines Samsung’s OH series displays, IoTecha’s EV charging technology and Palmer Digital Group’s integrated system, designed to deliver a consistent charging experience for EV drivers and offering new revenue streams for businesses through visual engagement.

The kiosk features monitoring systems, safety features and a weather-resistant construction, enabling users to build out level two charging infrastructure in flexible configurations that meet business and charging needs.

Flexible options include the use of one or two Samsung OH55A displays, one or two 80-amp charging ports, built-in cable retractors, card readers, cameras and speakers, enabling the construction of unique user experiences.

Each charging port features a maximum power output of 19.2 kW at 80 amps per charging port, using IoTecha’s smart charging, ISO/IEC 15118 based plug and charge smart energy management.

The kiosk offers plug and charge, smart charging, ISO/IEC 15118 based plug and charge as well as smart energy management.

IoTecha’s IoT.ON Cloud and Edge services are available with the kiosk, offering remote monitoring, configuration and updates for EV chargers, optimising energy flows using IoTecha’s energy management services.
