Christie previewed its CP4325-RGB direct-coupled laser projector from its Freedom Series at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.
The product, designed to remove the need for sub-ambient cooling, is based on Christie’s CineLife Series 3 electronics platform, which is also used in the company’s CP2308 lamp-based projector.
Christie CineLIfe offers playback, scheduling and management of cinema content and CineLife Series 3 electronics provides backwards compatibility with other Series 2 IMB manufacturers.
The CP4325-RGB is the first in a line of RGB laser projectors for mainstream cinema applications. It has an operational life of more than 30,000 hours, with a 20% loss in brightness for the light source.
