INFOBIT has launched the iSound AB88-UX, an 8x8 Dante audio bridge designed to connect analogue audio equipment, USB-C sources and networked audio systems within a single device.
The INFOBIT iSound AB88-UX combines six balanced XLR/TRS analogue inputs and six balanced XLR line outputs with a 2x2 USB-C audio interface and eight channels of Dante audio, targeting conference rooms, higher education facilities and live production applications.
Each analogue input provides switchable +48V phantom power, allowing direct connection of microphones, while the USB-C interface supports integration with computers and soft-codec platforms including Microsoft Teams and Zoom without additional drivers.
For networked audio deployments, the AB88-UX supports Dante 8x8 alongside AES67 interoperability. Dual RJ45 Dante ports provide primary and secondary network connections, giving integrators the option to build network redundancy into systems where continuity is important.
The unit can also be powered using PoE+ through its Ethernet connections, with a separate DC input providing an additional power option. This combination can help reduce cabling requirements while allowing power resilience to be designed into more critical installations.
A six-level input sensitivity selector provides further control over gain staging, enabling the interface to accommodate different analogue signal levels across connected sources.
By bringing analogue, USB and Dante connectivity into one platform, the AB88-UX is intended to simplify projects where traditional audio sources need to coexist with conferencing PCs and Audio-over-IP infrastructure.
