Matrox has released its QuadHead2Go multi-monitor controllers for next-generation videowalls, with the QuadHead2Go appliances and cards supporting a range of sources, sizes and configurations.

The QuadHead2Go controllers are available in appliance and PCI Express card form factors, with QuadHead2Go units capable of driving four displays from one signal of up to 4Kp60 and 8Kx8K for displays across up to four screens at resolutions up to 1920x1200 per output.

The controllers include a modular architecture for videowall scalability, with users able to use Matrox PowerWall software, which is included with the controllers.

The input content can be from any source, such as professional graphics cards and integrated GPUs as well as digital signage players and laptops, with displays able to be arranged in rectangular 2x2, 2x1, 3x1, 4x1, 1x2, 1x3 or 1x4 setups in addition to other artistic configurations.

Multiple QuadHead2Go units can be used together to build videowalls under a variety of operating systems including Microsoft, Windows 10 and Linux.

On-device buttons on the controllers also enable users to cycle through pre-set configurations to select and set the display layout in addition to access of pre-saved images to set up display positions and bezel-displaced pixels.

High-bandwidth digital content protection (HDCP) is included, offering support for playback of protected audio and video content from HDCP-compliant devices.
