WyreStorm has announced the availability of the EX-40-KVM-H2 and EX-100-KVM-H2, two new professional KVM extenders designed to make remote workstation deployment simpler across corporate, education, control, and professional AV environments.
As more AV spaces require computers and source equipment to be located securely in racks, equipment rooms or other remote locations, users still expect the display, keyboard, mouse, touchscreen and other peripherals in the room to work as though the PC were right beside them. The new KVM extenders address this challenge by combining 4K60 4:4:4 HDMI, USB and control extension over a single category cable, reducing cabling and simplifying system design.
The EX-40-KVM-H2 is designed for room-scale installations, extending 4K60 video and USB 2.0 up to 40m over Cat6/6a/7. Four USB device ports at the receiver provide connectivity for keyboards, mice, touch screens and other peripherals, while audio de-embedding and RS-232 pass-through support integration into wider AV systems. Bi-directional PoC further helps reduce power and cabling requirements at the installation endpoints.
For projects requiring greater distance and infrastructure flexibility, the EX-100-KVM-H2 extends 4K60 video and USB 2.0 up to 100m, with a Long-Reach Mode extending connectivity up to 150m. An HDMI loop-out at the transmitter also enables a local monitor or operator display without requiring an additional splitter, helping reduce system complexity and additional hardware.
Joseph Gagliardi, product manager at WyreStorm, commented: “The EX-40-KVM-H2 and EX-100-KVM-H2 are really about giving integrators more freedom in how they design a workspace,. The computer doesn’t always need to be in the room with the user. These extenders allow the source equipment to be placed where it makes the most sense, while still delivering the 4K video quality and responsive USB control users expect. With 40-meter and longer-distance options, integrators can choose the right solution without overcomplicating the system.”
Rather than treating KVM extension as an add-on, the EX-40-KVM-H2 and EX-100-KVM-H2 bring video, USB, and control together as part of a streamlined AV infrastructure.
Both support 4K60 4:4:4, HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.3 and HDR10, making them suitable for environments where image quality and reliable interaction with remotely located systems are essential.
The EX-40-KVM-H2 and EX-100-KVM-H2 are now available through WyreStorm’s authorised sales channels.
