WyreStorm Technologies and Netio Products have announced a new integration between WyreStorm Synergy Control Flow and Netio intelligent power distribution solutions, giving integrators a more streamlined way to combine AV control and intelligent power management within a single room-control environment.
Built around WyreStorm’s SYN-CTL-FL10 Control Processor, the integration enables Netio power outputs to be controlled and monitored directly through a WyreStorm Synergy interface, including the SYN-KEY12 keypad and SYN-TP10-B touch panel.
For integrators, this means power management no longer needs to sit separately from the room control experience. Displays, AV equipment, and other connected devices can be powered on or off as part of the wider room workflow, while live status and energy information can be presented to the user through the same interface.
The integration uses the built-in Node-RED engine within the SYN-CTL-FL10 together with NETIO’s JSON API, removing the need for an additional dedicated NETIO driver or separate license. Communication takes place across the network using standard HTTP Request and JSON nodes already available within Synergy Control Flow.
Through the integration, integrators can create control experiences that allow users to switch individual Netio outlets on or off while receiving feedback based on the actual state of the connected output.
Where supported by the Netio device, Synergy can also display live electrical information including individual and total power consumption, voltage, current, frequency and energy usage. Temperature monitoring can also be incorporated when compatible Netio sensors are used.
Rather than simply sending a power command, the system polls the Netio PDU at regular intervals and updates the control interface with its current status. An immediate refresh can also be triggered after a control command, helping the interface reflect the new state almost instantly.
Zvonimir Prokic, product manager, WyreStorm Technologies, commented: “Control becomes much more valuable when it connects different systems within a space rather than treating them individually. Bringing Netio power management into Synergy Control Flow gives integrators another practical way to automate the room while keeping the experience straightforward for the end user.”
The integration can also be scaled across additional Netio outputs and PDUs by extending the same Node-RED flow architecture, giving integrators the flexibility to incorporate multiple powered devices as project requirements grow.
Tomas Bezstarosta, CPO, Netio, said: “Reliable AV starts with reliable power, but it shouldn’t mean managing a separate system. By integrating with WyreStorm Synergy Control Flow, we’re making it simple for integrators to add Netio power control and remote monitoring directly into the AV workflow, meaning less complexity and faster deployment. For end customers, that means one interface, fewer points of failure, and the confidence that their installation stays up and running. We’re excited to work with a partner like WyreStorm to deliver that.”
The integration supports compatible Netio devices running firmware 5.2.4 or later and communicates using Netio’s JSON API over HTTP.
