Yamaha harnesses Revolabs tech to launch collaboration system

Yamaha is targeting huddle rooms and small meeting rooms with the CS-700 collaboration system.

The wall-mounted system is the first product that combines the Yamaha and Revolabs expertise following Yamaha’s purchase of the company in 2014.

It combines Revolabs' microphone technology with Yamaha loudspeaker engineering and adds video and screen sharing capabilities alongside a wide-angle video camera.

The CS-700 contains a beamforming microphone array and four speaker elements. It connects to UC platforms – such as Microsoft Skype for Business, Cisco Spark, GoToConference, Google Chromebox for Meetings, Vidyo, WebEx, Zoom and BlueJeans - through the integrated USB port.

Users can join a meeting over the same USB connection to their laptop or tablet. IT staff can remotely manage each unit from one location using the CS-700's integrated network management system.
