Broadcast Professional gives a tour of the National Museum of Singapore's Glass Rotunda, which has been completely renovated to deliver an interactive and enthralling visitor experience.
The National Museum of Singapore, established in 1887, is the country's oldest museum. As part of its commitment to continue providing thought provoking exhibitions and bringing contemporary relevance to its collection and Singapore's history, the museum undertook a project to revamp its Glass Rotunda, a signature feature of the museum's modern wing.
The project was worked on by Broadcast Professional, serving in the capacity of the integrator and the main contractor, with teamLab, a Japanese digital art collective that specialises in the digital development arena. The new space was officially opened on December 10, 2016.
John Paul Tan, sales manager at Broadcast Professional, explains the involvement of the integrator which differed from standard AV projects. "This was a full turnkey solution that we provided from start to finish," he said. "Broadcast Professional was the main contractor and we were involved from building and internal structure incorporating M&E works, providing teh AV systems and integrating the technological solutions in tandem with the digital content developed by teamLab."
