Let the games begin! Features 21/04/2020 Asia Pacific’s AV community is always up for a friendly round of competition. The inaugural Inavate APAC Awards 2020 is your chance to bag some bragging rights. The Inavation Award winners for 2020 were announced at a gala event held on the first night of ISE at the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam. From the extensive field of entries, a total of 17 projects from the Asia Pacific region made it as finalists in the Project Award categories. Impressively, three projects carried out in APAC were celebrated with top honours on the night itself. The Magic Glaze 3D installation in China won the Leisure and Entertainment Award category for Kraftwerk Living Technologies. Vichai Trading 1983 got its second win in a row with One Bangkok in the Retail Award category after coming out on top in the Hospitality Award category in 2019. And perhaps most impressive was Electronics & Engineering’s third Inavation Award for the Singapore Bicentennial in the Visitor Attraction Award category. Since our decision to remove the International Project Award category of the Inavation Awards and open the field up for APAC integrators to compete on an even footing with the rest of the AV industry, the number of entries and winners from the region have been steadily rising. This upward trend of participation demonstrates that Asia Pacific’s AV industry is looking for an independent platform that allows it to showcase the quality of its work and the dedication to its craft. The Inavate APAC Awards is this platform. Our aim is to bring APAC’s AV industry together for a round of friendly competition. The high level of entries from the region for the Inavation Awards this year leads us to believe that APAC’s integrators and consultants are more than up for another chance to grab the plaudits. There are six Project Award categories and three People Award categories that can be contested. Submissions for all the categories and now open and you can head to www.inavateapac.com to throw your hat in the ring. A full set of entry guidelines as well as eligibility requirements can be accessed to help you with getting your entry through. As always, you can get in touch with Inavate APAC and we would be happy to provide further clarification.
