d&b audiotechnik introduce the KSL series to Asia in Singapore

d&b audiotechnik’s latest loudspeakers, the KSL series, made its debut in Asia at a launch event held at the Star Performing Arts Centre in Singapore. The two presentation sessions of the event were attended by Asia Pacific’s AV industry.

Part of the SL series of loudspeakers from d&b audiotechnik, the KSL series’ function and place in the family is mentioned in its name. The ‘K’ stands for the German word ‘klein’ which translates to small. The KSL series offers AV professionals a smaller loudspeaker when compared to the GSL series with the same underlying technology and quality.

Mike Case, territory manager for APAC for d&b audiotechnik, commented about what drive the manufacturer to develop the KSL series: “Our customers wanted more headroom for the low frequencies. But at the same time, they wanted the weight of the product to be kept in check. They wanted dispersion control and more rigging options. All this feedback was taken onboard and was used to develop the KSL series.”

The KSL series aims to meet these demands from d&b audiotechnik’s customers. The loudspeakers weigh 60kg, have a 0-degree to 10-degree splay and has adequate SPL and frequency response.

The launch event included demonstrations of the KSL series’ performance and well as a run through of the rigging options available.
