Media-Go shares AV solutions at Innovative Connectivity Expo 2014

Established Hong Kong system integrator, Media-Go recently showcased a range of AV solutions that it offers to end users in conjunction with its partners.

One of the most interesting products on show was the yet to be released Epson EB-1430Wi which is a 3LCD projector. With its ultra-short throw projection and touch screen capabilities, the EB-1430Wi is targeted at the education and corporate sector, where it can be employed as a teaching tool and meeting aid respectively.

The projector comes with WXGA resolution, a lamp life of 4,000 hours and has a brightness of 3,300 lumens. Additional features include two HDMI ports for input as well as built in 16W speakers for audio output. The EB-1430Wi also comes with two touch pens that can be used for input. 

In a similar vein, Panasonic unveiled their own ultra-short throw contender in the shape of the ET-DLE030 lens which has a focal length of 5.3mm, an F value of 2.0 and a weight of 1.3 kgs. The lens is compatible with a number of Panasonic projectors and the list includes the PT-DZ870K, the PT-DW830W and the PT-DZ770S. Able to project in a variety of orientations, a combination of the Panasonic ET-DLE030 and a compatible Panasonic projector can be used as digital signage, especially in the retail sector where space for installation is often at a premium.

Continuing with digital signage, Sharp Linkage showcased a few of their display solutions. A simple walk around Hong Kong is enough to ascertain that the digital signage market is crowded and extremely competitive. Kelvin Leung who is the director of sales at Media-Go was keen to stress in his conversations that system integrators in the country must continue to innovate if they are to survive in the Hong Kong market. The flexible LED display solutions from Sharp Linkage can we employed in a variety of shapes and sizes as well as being suited to be installed in the ground.

Not to neglect the audio pat of AV, Yamaha was also present at the Innovative Connectivity Expo. They showed off a number of speakers with injection-molded enclosures and rain shield grills designed for use outdoors. Also on show were Yamaha’s solutions for indoor audio in the form of ceiling speakers such as the VXC6W.

Lastly, but not least, Cabletime were also present and showed off an innovative solution for tailored distribution of content.  With a set of Cabletime’s hardware, that includes encoders and end-points, end-users can transmit data over the wireless network to connected devices in an area at their discretion. The setup can be used in the corporate sector to provide entertainment in hospitality areas as well as pushing out important information in a timely fashion to employees.
