Plantronics has completed its $2 billion (approximately €1.7 billion) acquisition of Polycom around three months after the deal was announced.
The acquisition- that covers $1.638 billion in cash and 6.352 million Plantronics shares - expands Plantronics UCC offering. Triangle Private Holdings II, LLC, which was Polycom’s sole shareholder, now owns approximately 16% of Plantronics.
Frank Baker, co-founder and managing partner of Siris Capital Group (an affiliate of Triangle Private Holdings II, LLC), and Daniel Moloney, executive partner, Siris Capital Group, have been appointed to the Plantronics board of directors and nominated for election by Plantronics’ stockholders at the 2018 Annual Meeting of Stockholders.
InAVate caught up with Chris Thompson, vice president of B2B marketing at Plantronics, when the deal was announced earlier in the year.
