Crestron debuted the next generation of its DM NVXTM network AV solution at the most recent ISE 2019. Let’s catch up with Joel Mulpeter, Product Manager of Crestron Asia Pacific, to find out more.
We heard of some very exciting new additions to the DigitalMedia product family at ISE 2019! Tell us more about that.
This year at ISE we have released three new products for the NVX platform. The DM-NVX-352 is an encoder/decoder that brings Dante into the line-up.
We also released the E30 and D30 models that are simple encoders and decoders when you just need to get video into or out of the system.
What are the differences between DM NVXTM encoder and decoder with POE+ support versus DanteTM audio networking?
The E30 and D30 bring support for PoE+ to the line up to simplify system designs and bring installation costs down even further.
Dante support allows industry leading video technology to sit side by side with Dante audio devices. The implementation on DM NVX is really flexible allowing audio to be inserted and extracted to Dante.
Can you share more about the Advanced Processing Technology created in partnership with Intel and intoPIX?
Pixel Perfect Processing was developed by Crestron working with partners such as IntoPIX and Intel to develop a codec that makes image quality even better again, so much better
you can’t tell the difference between DM NVX and the original source.
“We have an unwavering commitment to make DM NVX the best network AV solution in every way,” said Fred Bargetzi, Crestron CTO. “This new generation is the culmination of an immense investment in both dollars and engineering man-hours.”
What kind of applications can we expect to see this new technology be deployed in?
DM NVX has been deployed in countless situations since it release, the new models open this up even more into situations where an audio DSP is deployed for advanced audio routing and processing, while the new E30 and D30 open up a world of simple end points to push DM NVX further into worlds such as Digital Signage and extend our reach into the residential market.
