Uniguest acquires CPI Global hospitality division and cloud management provider Otrum

Uniguest has acquired CPI Global’s hospitality division and cloud management provider Otrum, solidifying the company’s position in the European hospitality market.

CPI’s hospitality technology is widely used in France, with a number of contracts with leading brands in the hotel industry. The brand has provided a managed digital signage service and music systems for hotels, with on-site support and a renewed focus on digital retail experiences.

Georges Habibian, CEO, CPI, commented: “Uniguest has an incredible range of customers both in hospitality and in other markets, with an unrivalled product set, and so we see them as the perfect partner to pass on the baton in servicing our loyal clients and to taking on development of our digital signage CMS.”

CPI Global also acquired Otrum, a digital engagement provider to the hospitality industry which boasts more than 2.5 million users per month.

Stein Surlien, CEO, Otrum, will remain with Uniguest after the acquisition.

Surlien commented: “There are few companies who have such an impressive array of clients, deep and lasting partnerships in their chosen markets and as broad a range of technologies as Uniguest. To join this team was an easy decision, we believe in the vision of the Uniguest leadership team and are excited to be part of it. We have worked hard to build a great business and exceptional technology platform that we are rightly very proud of, and we are excited by the prospect of the coming together of our business with Uniguest.”
