Wat Tha Sung Temple upgrades with L-Acoustics audio system

L-Acoustics certified provider, Vision One, was chosen by the Wat Tha Sung Temple management team to install X series and LA7.16i amplified controllers in the Pra Suthammayan Thera Hall in Bangkok.

Measuring 90m long and 70m wide with an 18m high ceiling, the hall recently underwent an audio upgrade with the expertise of the Vision One team.

Vision One’s chief operating officer, Tanapat Mongkolkosol, commented: “The audio team was familiar with L-Acoustics and wished to keep a consistent sonic signature across both halls.”

Using L-Acoustics Soundvision 3D modelling software, Mongkolkosol partnered with the L-Acoustics APAC application project team to present a system design of forty-six white L-Acoustics X12 coaxial enclosures distributed throughout the hall. An additional fourteen X12 are used as monitors for monks’ speeches and chants in four different locations in the space.

To ensure signal loss was kept to a minimum, the team created two separate control rooms – located at the front and rear of the hall – verifying that speaker cable lengths were ready for optimal system performance.

Mongkolkosol concluded: “It is great to see a frequently visited temple in Thailand continually building its technical audio infrastructure, with up-to-date professional audio systems by L-Acoustics.”
