InfoComm Southeast Asia 2019 will debut in Bangkok, Thailand and run from May 15 to 17, 2019. The annual exhibition is aiming to serve as a regional show for APAC’s professional AV industry. To date, 120 companies, which includes Aoto Electronics, DigiBird, Epson, Intel, Kramer Electronics, Panasonic Systems Solutions, Philips Professional Display, Shure Asia and Tricolor, have committed to exhibit at the show.
The timing for the InfoComm Southeast Asia aligns with an expected boom for the SEA region. Research from AVIXA predicts that the size of the AV market in Southeast Asia is projected to grow 33% in the next five years - from USD 6.035 billion in 2018 to USD 8.033 billion in 2023. InfoComm Southeast Asia aims to provide attendees and exhibitors a chance to reach out and interact with the regional AV industry.
In addition to the products on show, deeper learning opportunities will be available in the form of the Summit, a series of free-to-attend seminars and forums. The technology seminars will address topics of significance which include topics such as how AV professionals can design for user experience (UX), how to maximise sound quality in spaces based on an understanding of the way in which ambient environments and essential math for AV projects.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to join special AV Tech Tours on short trips out to installed sites in Bangkok to experience how AV solutions are deployed in real-life settings. Sites identified for visit include the Prince Mahidol Hall of the Mahidol University in Bangkok.
Beyond the exhibition, Summit and Tech Tours are opportunities, spread over the three-day show for networking, the building up of relationships with new and existing partners, and the discussion of strategies to address the Southeast Asian marketplace.
Richard Tan, executive director of InfoCommAsia, commented: “Southeast Asia is a unified economic entity which is growing by leaps and bounds, and should no longer be ignored. InfoComm Southeast Asia is the region’s dedicated pro AV and integrated experience solutions platform, and what it gives to visitors is not just the opportunity to update their knowledge on the latest products and technologies, but also the chance to renew and reinforce relationships and enable their businesses to soar into the future.”
