The University of Wollongong (UOW) has confirmed AVT as its preferred technology partner for teaching space AV control and transport technology after the University’s recent tender.
AVT will supply Harman’s AMX AV transport and control equipment for approximately 350 teaching space upgrades and new deployments over an initial three year contract. The technology, which will enable lecturers to share video and audio across multiple devices, will be installed, programmed and supported in UOW campuses by various AVT approved integration partners.
Fiona Rankin, director of information management and technology services at UOW said, “The AMX technology platform provided by AVT will ensure that UOW provides students with a cutting edge learning experienceâ€.
She continued: “Additionally, standardising our AV signal transport, control and user interface across all seven campuses will enable us to achieve greater efficiencies in purchasing, integration and support requirements.â€
Graham Barrett, AVT’s head of strategic partnerships and innovation, said: “We are proud to be selected as a strategic partner of UOW who, in recognising the benefits of standardising its AV technology platform, is leading its sector in implementing a distributor direct AV selection model.â€
