CODA Audio products deployed across summer events in India

Electrocraft, an India-based rental company, recently deployed a range of CODA Audio products across a series of major summer events.

One of the biggest Navratri festivals takes place over eleven days at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, drawing around 10,000 attendees per day for performances by Falguni Pathak and her band. For the second consecutive year, a CODA Audio system was selected to meet the event’s demands.

At the Jio Centre, CODA’s VCA family (ViRAY, CiRAY, and flagship AiRAY) combined to deliver powerful, crystal-clear sound. Electrocraft flew a main system of 10 x AiRAY per side, supported by 3 x APS per side as outfills and 24 x SCP-F sensor-controlled subs across the front. HOPS7-Pro units served as front fills. Two delay systems were deployed: the first with 2 x AiRAY, 4 x CiRAY, and 1 x SCV-F sub per side; the second with 6 x ViRAY and 2 x SCV-F subs per side.

Devasis Barkataki, founder and managing director of CODA Audio’s Indian distribution partner Alphatec, commented: “We are very proud to bring CODA Audio into the spotlight of India’s live music scene, especially at an iconic celebration like Navratri. With its advanced waveguide technology, CODA delivers exceptional clarity and tonal precision – perfect for live performances. The brand is setting a new benchmark for sound experiences in India.”

Roger Drego, managing director and founder of Electrocraft, added: “Working with CODA’s system for this scale of celebration was a rewarding challenge. The precision of the AiRAY and CiRAY, combined with the depth of the SCP and SCV subs, gave us the confidence to deliver a consistent impact across the venue. It’s rare to find technology that combines power, control, and clarity at this level, but CODA Audio makes it possible.”

Across Mumbai at the NSCI Dome, just over a week earlier, YouTube Fanfest India 2025 welcomed around 6,000 attendees, with millions watching online. Electrocraft again supplied CODA Audio, deploying AiRAY, CiRAY, SCP-F subs, and additional HOPS and APS units for fills. A key requirement was to keep the PA as discreet as possible to preserve sight-lines and support broadcast production, making CODA’s compact form factors advantageous.

The NSCI Dome also hosted Spotify’s Rap 91 Live 2025 concert, celebrating India’s hip-hop community. Electrocraft relied on CODA to handle the heavy bass, rapid transients, and clear vocal projection essential for the genre.

CODA Audio systems are also being adopted for devotional and spiritual events, where warmth and intelligibility are paramount. Large-scale gatherings such as the ISHA Foundation’s annual event in Bengaluru and the celebration of Paryushan 2025 used Electrocraft-supplied ultra-compact CODA systems to deliver clear, impactful audio.

Devasis reflected: “The Indian event industry is evolving rapidly, and CODA Audio is perfectly positioned to shape its next chapter. Our goal is not just to supply sound systems, but to elevate how India experiences live sound. We are committed to bringing international-grade sound innovation to India, and CODA stands at the forefront of that transformation.”

Drego concluded: “CODA Audio has redefined what efficiency and performance mean for large-scale events in India. The systems deliver extremely high SPL with zero compromise on clarity, yet remain remarkably compact and lightweight, making transport, setup, and rigging far more efficient. With fewer cabinets required and minimal manpower needed, CODA empowers us to achieve a powerful, distortion-free sound experience with unmatched ease. For an industry where time, logistics, and impact are everything, CODA is a game-changer.”
