On the evening of July 11, a fire engulfed the façades of two five-story commercial buildings at the busy Lý Thái T roundabout in central Ho Chi Minh City. According to local reports, residents heard a loud explosion before flames and thick black smoke rapidly spread across the shopfronts, one of which featured a large outdoor LED display.
The blaze caused significant property damage though fortunately no casualties were reported.
This incident is reminder that fire safety in outdoor LED displays is not optional, it is a critical necessity.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
