Inavate + ScreenBeam: The next level of wireless presentation

Wireless presentation has always been a core component of workspaces. Find out more about how ScreenBeam solutions can exceed your requirements.

Johnny Lin, senior director of sales, APAC, ScreenBeam, says: “We’re seeing end users with increased awareness of wireless presentation because of the heavy use of videoconferencing. And there is the consideration to reduce the number of touch points and make the working environment safer which is perfect for wireless presentation.”

He continues: “But most importantly, we are seeing increasing importance being put on meeting spaces. People are returning to the office and the want to meet and share ideas and the quickest way to enable that is to deploy wireless presentation to make spaces flexible and be able to adjust to the new needs of users.”

Lin believes that ScreenBeam is poised to provide the best wireless presentation solution possible: “ScreenBeam’s background in networking and being one of the parties involved with the development of Miracast, which is now widely adopted and part of Windows 10 as well, puts us in a very unique position. We can really offer ‘native’ connectivity for devices without the need for installing any apps or plugging in any extra dongles. Our solutions work with just the hardware and software that the devices come with whether you are using Apple, Android or Windows 10.”

In Lin’s opinion ‘native’ connectivity makes all the difference. He details: “With our wireless presentation, we have always been approaching it from the aspect of being ‘native’ which would make it easy for users to connect to and easy for integrators to install. What this means for hybrid spaces and meeting rooms that are being planned or set up is that it is very easy to put in ScreenBeam wireless presentation. And because of the ease of installation and deployment, this means that spaces can be scaled. It means that you can go from six people in a space to being able to reorient it to become a much bigger meeting space very easily.”

In addition, ScreenBeam is always looking to take its offerings to the next level. ScreenBeam SB1100 Plus, the next iteration of its wireless presentation solution, is available and brings an expanded feature set in terms of both form and function. Lin explains: “We’ve improved the overall design and the aesthetic to fit into corporate spaces better. And we have also improved the features. We’ve added an additional HDMI input port which adds wired integration with the PC for example. It also serves as a redundant wired connection in case corporates require a failsafe. There is more integration with videoconferencing platforms, and this is a direction that we are going to be taking even more in the future.”

Lin concludes: “The need for videoconferencing is not going away. There might be changes in how it is used and the frequency with which it is used but it will be a central part of how we communicate and collaborate. ScreenBeam always takes the approach of continuously assisting our end users, having superior integration and creating a user experience that is seamless. From this perspective we can see traditional AV and IT solutions converging and given our network background we feel that we are uniquely placed to deliver on our promises.”
