Proel enters the Indian market

Proel has entered the Indian market with the opening of an office in the country.

The decision to invest in India is a testament to Proel's commitment to expansion and growth in emerging markets.

The Indian operations are based in Bangalore, led by Nagaraj Mallikarjun, and the sales team in Delhi, which is led by Shantanu Banerjee. There are plans underway to establish a presence in Mumbai shortly.

This strategic move has been in development for three years, culminating in a warehousing and logistics facility in Bangalore, set to expand across key regions in India.

The vision for Proel India was catalysed by Chandan Mahtani, managing director of M-Global Singapore & India, engaged by Proel to spearhead business development in Asia.

Mahtani's proposal was embraced by Proel's CEO, Giacomo Sorbi, signifying a shared vision for strategic expansion in the Asian market.

Commenting on this milestone, Chandan Mahtani said: “Entering the Indian market directly aligns with our strategic growth objectives. We are excited to engage with diverse stakeholders including Government agencies, Architects, consultants, system integrators, Retailers both on and offline, artists, engineers, and more, building a vibrant Proel Community in India.”

Proel India represents a joint venture between Proel and M-Global, with Chandan Mahtani leading the charge in business development.

Sorbi, Proel’s CEO, emphasised the long-term perspective of this venture and stated: “India's dynamic market presents immense opportunities for Proel's brand to flourish. We are dedicated to supporting Proel India comprehensively, ensuring robust after-sales support and availability of spare parts across India.”
