Expanding its presence in the venue engineering space, The P.A. People has announced that it has acquired Sydney based business, TheatreQuip.
TheatreQuip can trace its origins in the Australian theatre industry back over thirty years. It brings a wealth of theatrical experience and product to The P.A. People’s Venue Engineering portfolio.
Chris Dodds, managing director of The P.A. People, said: “We have been looking at expanding our capability to deliver staging solutions for quite some time. Over the past few months, we have received numerous enquiries from across the country looking for alternative providers of staging design and delivery. In order to service the market in a timely manner, we needed to acquire people, expertise, and business, rather than having the luxury of building the business from scratch.”
To facilitate this new capability, Michael Rafferty, proprietor of TheatreQuip since 2001, has joined The P.A. People team; long-term industry professional, Peter Grisard, is heading up the Venue Engineering group and Tim Pike will take the role as QLD state manager in our new Gold Coast office.
Dodd said: “We have some terrific, experienced people on board, and we’re excited about this new phase in the Company’s journey.”
