Sharp NEC Display Solutions Europe launched the NEC MultiSync WD551, a Microsoft Windows collaboration display.
The WD551 is a room peripheral certified for Microsoft Teams that allows users to connect their own devices via the display’s USB-C cable to share content and start video meetings. Two 65W USB-C inputs offer seamless switching between two users while both connected devices receive a power supply.
A PC, using Microsoft tools such as Microsoft 365 and Teams, can be connected to the WD551.
The WD551 also enables any application installed on the user’s notebook to be projected onto the display’s 55-in screen.
PCAP touch technology and optically bonded glass are included to support a natural writing experience with a finger or a pen. Two active pens are also provided for Windows Ink support. Palm rejection allows users to rest their hands on the screen without making unwanted marks.
The WD551 uses IoT sensors to gather telemetric data such as room occupancy, temperature, lighting and air quality.
