Casio launches ultra short throw projector at InfoComm

Casio expanded its line of ultra short throw projectors with the launch of the XJ-UT311WN at InfoComm 2017.

The unit was on show alongside Casio’s XJ-L8300HN 4K UHD model that has a 4K DLP chip that projects images of approximately 8.3 million pixels. It has a brightness of 5,000 lumens and has a lens shift function to correct projector positioning. A super resolution feature enhances the signal of low-resolution movies and images to produce the effect of higher resolution.

Casio also showed its XJ-UT311WN ultra short throw projector with a built-in 0.28:1 fixed lens. The XJ-UT311WN produces 3,100 lumens of brightness and has WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution with a 20,000:1 contrast ratio. Network (RJ-45) and local RS-232 connections provide control and remote status monitoring capabilities and a wireless presentation adaptor is included.

The company had Core and Advanced series projectors on display with a 20,000-hour estimated operating life. The units feature a 1.5X zoom lens.

The models also have a dust resistant design that is achieved by structuring the internal components into separate blocks and shields the optical block from dust and suppresses dust intrusion.
