Sharp Electronics’ 80-inch LED interactive display system, the PN-L802B, has been qualified by Microsoft for use with Crestron RL and Polycom CX8000 group collaboration solutions. Both the solutions mentioned leverage Microsoft Lync for collaboration.
The Sharp PN-L802B offers full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution and its LED display makes it ideal for use as a digital whiteboard. Gary Bailer, Sharp’s director of displays, says regarding the new displays: “The PN-L802B displays are available now and feature built-in dual-touch technology that’s ideally suited to Microsoft Lync.â€
Microsoft’s sever based application Lync has quickly established itself in the pro AV sector especially for the purposes of conferencing. Steve Samson who is the Crestron executive director for business development has this to say regarding the new 80-inch display: “We’re excited that Sharp has developed a world class large-format touch display that takes these systems to the next level in medium-sized and large meeting rooms.â€
