d&b audiotechnik announced the latest update of NoizCalc 4.0 software, a simulation tool designed to accurately predict noise arising from outdoor events.
The new version 4.0 features a range of updates such as a graphical user interface and an optimised workflow.
The software draws on existing system data and geodata from Google Maps and OpenStreetMap to calculate grid noise map which accurately predicts potential noise issues in the area. This allows end users to adopt preemptive measures in managing noise during the events.
The solution was developed in collaboration with SoundPLAN and offers a choice of international standards for its calculations depending on the user’s requirement.
Florian Hahn, product manager of d&b, Software, concluded: “The advanced technology available in this tool ensures that our customers can assess – with great accuracy – the potential for off-site problems that typically remain undetected during the planning phase and only can arise when the event actually takes place.”
