Meyer Sound will introduce its Galileo Galaxy networked audio system at Infocomm 2016.
The next generation of the Galileo processor line, Galaxy is the first Meyer Sound loudspeaker processor to be fully networkable, with multiple units sharing 24-bit/96 kHz multi-channel audio via an AVB network.
Galaxy features an increased maximum input count of eight (previously six) for implementing 7.1 systems. Its latest FPGA-based processing technology, with 96 kHz floating point resolution, furthermore provides increased dynamic range, a lower noise floor, and low latency of 0.6ms analog in to analog out.
Other features include a delay matrix, a word clock input on the AES3 version, improved equalization tools and simpler integration with Crestron and other third-party controllers. The three Galaxy models – Galaxy 816, 816-AES3 and 408 – will ship in September 2016.
The line will line up alongside Meyer Sound’s latest products including the MJF-208 compact stage monitor and MDM-5000 high-power distribution module - both making their North American debuts.
Meyer Sound’s will also showcase its latest SPL (sound pressure level) technology in demo room N112, where it will demonstrate the importance of headroom and low distortion from 11.00am to 3.00pm on Tuesday and 9.00am to 3.00pm Wednesday to Friday every two hours with surround speakers including its HMS-15 model.
The company will exhibit at booth C9925 at Infocomm 2016. The show takes place from June 8 to 10, 2016 at the Convention Centre in Las Vegas.
