Panasonic adds 27,000 lumens laser projector at InfoComm

Panasonic has unveiled a beyond 4K resolution 3-Chip DLP laser projector with 27,000 lumens of brightness, at InfoComm 2016.

Designed for events, staging and rental applications, the PT-RQ32K develops 27,000 centre lumens at 5120 x 3200 resolution.

The 240 Hz projector incorporates Panasonic’s pixel-shifting quad pixel drive technology and enables flexible projection by supporting existing optional lenses and advanced image-adjustment capabilities.

A laser light source and an original heat-resistant phosphor wheel design maintain consistent image quality, colour and brightness, particularly useful when using multiple projectors.

The need for custom mounting-frames has been eliminated with frame-free stacking or eye-bolt rigging, reducing overall weight for transportation and easy installation of temporary multi-projection mapping projects.

The projector also includes a quick on/off mechanical and laser light source hybrid shutter and power management functions to ensure smooth, energy-efficient operation.

The RQ32K is set for release in January 2017.
