Yamaha collaborates with Shure for ULX-D systems control

Yamaha Pro Audio has announced that it can now control and monitor Shure ULX-D digital wireless systems via CL and QL series consoles, following a collaboration with Shure Incorporated.

The integration of Yamaha’s CL/QL Series consoles with Shure’s ULX-D digital wireless systems (ULXD4D and ULXD4Q receivers) allows users to work with sound reinforcement applications of all sizes.

Control parameters will now include monitoring of battery, RF reception strength, antenna status, frequency and audio level, and full control of gain, mute, and channel name assignment.

Nick Wood, category director of wireless systems at Shure, commented: “This integration means that ULX-D users can optimize microphone gain settings from the mix position and confidently monitor the status of wireless systems within the context of the console interface."

The V4.0 firmware update will be available by the close of April.
