Audio-Technica launches D50 wireless system and expands collaboration ecosystem

Audio-Technica introduced the D50 Digital UHF Wireless System at InfoComm 2026, alongside new networked audio products and certified collaboration integrations for Microsoft Teams and Crestron environments.

The D50 is a digital UHF wireless platform designed for high-density RF environments across corporate AV, education, government, houses of worship, theatre and live sound applications.

Audio-Technica said the system was developed for integrators and users working in complex wireless environments, with features including RF stability, battery life, rack-space efficiency, internal DSP, high-fidelity audio and scalable expansion.

The D50 supports up to 244MHz of tuning bandwidth, or 138MHz in the US, to support flexible channel planning. High-density mode allows up to 47 simultaneous frequencies within a single 6MHz TV channel, while switchable antenna combining diversity and maximal ratio combining true diversity modes are designed to improve signal reliability.

The system uses a compact half-rack receiver, available in two-channel Audio-Technica Link or four-channel Dante-enabled versions. It supports 96kHz audio, redundancy and PoE+ power. Handheld, bodypack and gooseneck base transmitters are available, with handheld models supporting interchangeable Artist Elite capsule options.

Additional features include onboard spectrum analysis, AES256 encryption, integrated DSP and Wireless Manager software for monitoring and control. The D50 is also TAA-compliant for US government integrations.

Kurt Van Scoy, Audio-Technica US vice president of products, business alliances and marketing, said: “It enables confident deployment with secure, flexible channel planning—even in the most complex and congested conditions.”

Audio-Technica also introduced the ATSP-30 network ceiling speaker series for meeting and collaboration spaces. Available as the ATSP-30LP for Audio-Technica Link and the ATSP-30DP for Dante, the speakers are sold in pairs with one active and one passive unit.

The ATSP-30 mounts flush into drop or hard ceilings and offers 140-degree coverage for speech reinforcement, conferencing, presentations and background music. The speakers integrate with Audio-Technica’s ATDM digital SmartMixer platform and compatible microphones over standard Cat5e or better cabling.

Audio-Technica also announced expanded certified collaboration integrations. Extron and Audio-Technica have added the ATND1061 beamforming ceiling array microphone and Engineered Sound Wireless microphones to Design Solutions certified for Microsoft Teams.

The certified designs combine Audio-Technica microphone systems with Extron’s DTP3 CrossPoint 800 Series presentation matrix switchers, ceiling speakers, DSP and control technologies. The companies said the systems are designed for larger Microsoft Teams Rooms where clear audio is needed for meeting participants, transcription and AI-supported meeting tools.

Separately, the Audio-Technica ATND1061 ceiling array microphone and ATUC digital discussion systems have been certified by Crestron for use with Automate VX, Crestron’s voice-activated camera switching system.

As trigger sources for Automate VX, the ATND1061 and ATUC provide talker position data and discussion states to support automatic camera switching. When paired with Crestron 1 Beyond cameras, the system can switch to and frame the active speaker in boardrooms, classrooms, government chambers and other collaboration spaces.

Matt Markgraf, Audio-Technica global strategic partnerships and alliance manager, said the certified solutions with Extron and Crestron are intended to simplify deployment while supporting secure, reliable and high-quality audio in collaboration spaces.
