Haivision has extended its Makito X H.264 capabilities with the Makito X HEVC video encoder, offering dual-channel HEVC encoding.
The Makito X HEVC video encoder is designed for low latency video backhaul and transmission applications where the use of network bandwidth needs to be optimized to deliver higher quality video.
Haivision augmented the capabilities of the Makito X H.264 video encoder with two HEVC encoding engines to release the Makito X HEVC.
The Makito X HEVC has dual 3G-SDI inputs, supports up to 1080p60 HD video and offers multi bitrate (MBR) streaming, KLV metadata support and networking capabilities including traffic shaping to optimize bandwidth performance. The Makito X HEVC also features Haivision’s SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) technology.
It is available as a compact appliance or within a 1U or 4U rack mount chassis to support up to six HEVC channels per rack unit.
