Systech Lighting and Controls Inc. discusses how it managed to provide the expansive Marriott Grand Ballroom with audio visual systems to meet its needs and serve its customers.
The hospitality sector in the Philippines has been experiencing a prolonged boom. Over the last couple of years the country has seen the establishment of top quality integrated resorts, casinos and hotels. During this period of growth, the Marriott Hotel Manila, located at Newport Boulevard Newport Complex Pasay City, decided to expand its facilities.
In order to do so, the hotel decided to establish the Marriott Grand Ballroom, which would be one of the Philippines’ largest hotel conference and exhibition space measuring up to 8,000 square metres. Obviously a space that large requires the proper AV systems in order to fulfil its function.
Martin V. Cook, the group design principal at C&A Design Group, was the consultant who designed the AV systems for the Marriott Grand Ballroom. Joint Venture Audio Visual Lighting and Systech Lighting & Controls Inc. served as the integrators.

Garcia, project manager at Systech Lighting & Controls Inc. talks about the scope of the project: “The Marriott Grand Ballroom is the perfect proposed designed venue for weddings for luxury, grandeur and seamless details. The area of the Grand Ballroom can accommodate 2,500 people for a banquet and up to 4,000 for a concert or a social event. It also has six VIP sky boxes, multi-level parking, 28 meeting rooms, three restaurants with the state of the art event studio.â€
