Audio-Technica has announced a new proprietary communication protocol with the aim to provide a simple, smart and scalable solutions across meeting spaces and to fulfil the current demands from end-users. The increasing prevalence of videoconferencing, web conferencing and hybrid style meetings requires tons of flexibility from any audio equipment.

Following on from the successful launch of ATDM-1012DAN Digital SmartMixer, ATND1061DAN Beamforming Ceiling Array Microphones and Engineered Sound Wireless System (DAN) which all focusing on a common network platform- Dante, Audio-Technica is excited and confident to merge AV and IT through this new proprietary communication protocol known as A-T Link.
Simplifying Professional Audio
A-T LINK transmits uncompressed multi-channel digital audio and control information via category cables with minimal latency. One of the key advantages of A-T LINK is the ability to power A-T LINK microphone solutions, eliminating the need for a power cable or standard PoE switch.
Why A-T Link?
The flexibility and scalability of A-T LINK make it ideal for any audio installation, no matter the size or use case. A-T LINK is not an internet protocol (AoIP), but it does operate via category cables. This makes it an extremely secure independent data chain.

The A-T LINK protocol lets you transmit uncompressed multi-channel digital audio signals from A-T LINK -enabled devices to be individually assigned to the input channels of our Digital SmartMixers.
Bridge to Dante Network
Although A-T LINK doesn’t work directly with non-Audio-Technica endpoint devices, you can use the ATDM-1012DAN as a bridge to a Dante Network for non-Audio-Technica products.

Choose A-T Microphone Solutions
The ATND1061LK beamforming ceiling array microphone seamlessly integrates into a the A-T LINK protocol providing an ideal solution for conference rooms, boardrooms, and meeting spaces large and small. With Audio-Technica’s adaptive feedback canceler, the microphone is able to provide more voice lift than many other solutions while being less likely to cause feedback. Other voice lift technology on the market can be distorted when users are between loudspeaker and the beamforming microphone. The superior feedback cancellation and DSP blocks provide a variety of processing levels which allow for clarity and flexibility in loudspeaker vs. microphone placement.
A-T’s award-winning Engineered Sound Wireless System can be integrated into the A-T LINK protocol using the ESW-R4180LK receiver, offering simple, smart, and scalable high-quality audio. Operation is incredibly easy for end users, with microphones ready to use by simply removing them from the charging station. At full charge, the batteries offer all-day operation. Seamless setup and management is controlled via Audio-Technica’s Wireless Manager software, which is capable of managing multiple wireless systems, including UHF wireless systems, from a single screen.
