In an exclusive event held at the Vine Ballroom of the Metropolitan YMCA, Bose Professional introduced its latest lineup of speakers and amplifier in the shape of the Forum, Luna, and Showtime speakers and the Veritas amplifier.
Tan Hui Ming from Bose Professional kicked off proceedings at the event and said: “We are very excited to unveil Bose Professional’s latest lineup of products. While some of you might have seen them during InfoComm or ISE earlier this year, today is the first line demonstration in Singapore and these products are now available for you to specify, install, and deploy.”
The DesignMax Luna DML88P pendant speaker is a part of the DesignMax series. It aims to provide greater flexibility and comes with an 8-in subwoofer and a ring array of 2-in drivers arrange in a proprietary circular pattern. The speaker provides 140-degree conical dispersion, and this feature aims to increase coverage and reduce speaker density in space. The Luna is designed for application in retail, bars, cafes, gyms, and specifically spaces with open ceiling concepts.
The Forum series of speakers comprises two models, the FC108 and FC112. These speakers are based on the AMM series of speakers. The Forum series features proprietary beamwidth matching waveguide to ensure Bose Professional’s signature sound quality is maintained.
The Showtime SK12 is an entertainment speaker with 12-in drivers and is designed for vocal clarity. It provides 90-degree by 60-degree dispersion.
The Bose Professional Vertias amplifiers differ from the previous range. They come with improved power across both the 1RU and 1/2RU models. An OLED screen and rotary knob have been included to assist with commissioning. Bluetooth 5.0 input is supported due to high demand from customers for this feature and the amplifiers can have up to 30 EQ presets.
Christian Liebenberg from Universal Procurement Systems commented: “We have got the sound and the SPL spot on with these new Bose Professional speakers. From my perspective, and speaking within the Singaporean context, I see these products gaining traction in houses of worship, highly reverberant spaces, schools, auditoriums, and much more. Installation is simple, quick and easy, the speakers and flexible, and I look forward to see how AV professionals will employ them.”
