Cloud-Enabled Technology Award joins Inavation Awards categories in 2024

The pro-AV industry is embracing the cloud, and the 2024 Inavation Awards is recognising this shift with a new category: Best Cloud-Enabled Technology. Get a head start on your submission by learning about this exciting new award.

Cloud-based solutions are becoming increasingly common in the professional AV industry and with that shift we’re seeing a host of benefits to system designers, service providers, installers and users.

In recognition of that development the 2024 Inavation Awards will feature a new Technology Category: Best Cloud-Enabled Technology.

Entrants will need to demonstrate the value their cloud-enabled technology brings to professionals that design, install or manage AV systems.

The cloud has delivered huge gains to multiple areas of professional AV installations with technology developers creating a plethora of products and services around cloud-based solutions.

While technology developments push this trend, we’re also seeing a pull from users that are increasingly IT centric, used to the benefits the cloud can bring and demand products that can use its power and feed information back in.

Information gathering is a key factor in developments in this space. AV devices that sit on the edge of the network are increasingly being developed to feed data back into cloud applications with service providers and end users moving quickly to effectively harness the vast volumes of data this can bring.

Analytics can help organisations use space more efficiently, help inform future purchasing decisions, automate tasks and device upgrades, and support monitoring and maintenance. Tangible benefits include better wellbeing for a building’s inhabitants, intelligent investments and decreased energy usage.

As this gathers pace, the sheer volume of data on everything from meeting room usage to device power demands and demographic insight such as who’s talking in meetings, looking at advertising and more will feed artificial intelligence, big data and machine learning. AV will play a central role in some of the most exciting technology developments of today and tomorrow.

Cloud-enabled technologies also offer huge benefits for remote management, monitoring and control. The gains for multinational organisations are clear, while the opportunity for AV technology providers to add service revenue to their business is gathering pace and is a crucial factor in the increasing demand for cloud-enabled systems.

With all 2024 Inavation Awards categories open to entries on September 1, this summer is the perfect opportunity to start thinking about your submissions. If you have a cloud-enabled technology that you would like to enter into the Inavation Awards, then check out the information on entering Technology Awards at inavationawards.com

You’ll need to outline your technology’s capabilities, USPs and most importantly how your technology benefits professionals designing, installing or managing systems. To be eligible it must have been launched or significantly updated between October 1, 2022 and October 1, 2023. Remember, if the product is updated during the stipulated period, you should outline specifics of what the update adds to the technology or platform and specify a version update if possible.

Many Cloud-Enabled Technologies will also fit into other Inavation Awards Technology categories, and you can enter multiple categories with the same product. However, we strongly encourage you to create dedicated entries for each category submission to be in with the best chance of reaching the finals or taking home a trophy.
